Formation Courses in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

Formation Courses attract various types of people interested in working with children in Catechesis. The courses attract parents, Religious Sisters and teachers. Lay people have commented that they loved the rich and informative approach of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd which enriches their daily lives. It is a retreat type approach.

  • Level I Formation Course prepares participants working with children 3-6 years.
  • Level II Formation Course prepares participants working with children 6-9 years.
  • Level III Formation Course prepares participants working with children 9-12 years.

Formation Courses include presentations of materials for children, introduces the Atrium where this great work takes place, provides a comfortable environment where theological and pedagogical discussions take place, assists participants in preparing an Album (lesson plans) and develops material making for the children’s work within the Atrium.
Formation Courses take place at St Jude’s Pastoral Centre, Templeogue, Dublin 6W on the last week-end of each month by a trained catechist, trained in all three levels of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.

Level I Training Course commences 2017

Friday 24th February/Saturday 25th February:- Friday 7.00 -9.30 pm
Saturday 9.00am – 4.30 pm & thereafter on the last week-end of every month until, and including, November.
